Why go across the ocean in time when travelling is such a hassle?! And for the second time!

This is why …

Cynthia is a fantastic host and we divided our time between her parents’ house and a cute camper … limited space was no obstacle for us to enjoy some truffles that I brought from Slovenia.

The camper is small, but such are the spaces where I feel at home!

Our main mission was building this house in a community called Headwaters where Cynthia is creating her home … Friends came to visit and help …

As the summer progressed, so was the house getting more and more into shape …

Before … and after …

So it wouldn’t be all work and no play we went for a short break to Maine, visiting Acadia among other places …

The rugged coast offers fabulous views …

We stayed in an eco-hostel at Deer Isle — no electricity, no running water.  Another home away from home …

Some kayaking with friends in Belfast …

Stoping in Stonington, the world capital of lobsters …

This photo from the top of Mount Mansfield, the highest peak of Vermont, sums up my emotions from the last two months…

I’ve been away for a while … I will be back to normal soon! (And my blogs too!) 🙂
