Are you interested in enriching your diet with some wilderness as spring begins? Not one, but three foraging workshops are coming!

Two workshops are taking place in Motovun. We’ll meet at 10 am at the lower parking:

  • Saturday, 21 March 2026
  • Wednesday, 25 March 2026

In Lucija, the workshop will start from the eco-shop Ekošara, on 15 March at 10 am.

We will take a long walk in nature, and in the end, prepare a delicious meal from the collected wild plants. The menu will be rich with spring plants, including wild asparagus, wild leek and chives, wild garlic, wild beets, bittercress, lung wart, shepherd’s purses, thistles, erigeron, and let’s not forget about bellis, violets, primroses, nettles, dandelions and more.

Whether you know edible wild plants or not, the workshop with Nara will be a special treat. Delicious dishes will spoil your palate and boost your health.

Here’s the application form.

Contribution: 50 € (with 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee)

The workshop includes a sumptuous meal, snacks, and printed materials (with the names of wild plants and short descriptions). Couples and families get a 10 € discount per person, if you’re 2 or more.

A bonus: learning how to make a natural toothbrush, a so-called chewing stick.

The number of participants is limited to 12.

Duration: about 4 hours.

Don’t miss this special opportunity to celebrate the spring equinox with a natural feast prepared by a renowned wilderness expert and cook!

Please, dress appropriately for a hike! Paths could be slippery and in the case of a sunny day, protect yourself with a cap or sunscreen!

In the case of rain, the workshops will be postponed by a week.

About Nara

Nara is an advocate of luxurious simplicity; he works with groups, writes and lectures. He is recognizable by his barefoot lifestyle, which he has been practicing for 20 years while traveling to 45 countries. His breadth of interests has enriched him with a range of knowledge, including group dynamics, ecovillage formation, facilitation, and veg(etari)an cuisine with wild plants. As an author, he is best known for his evergreen book Human: Instructions for Use.

With a good dose of fun, Nara will share his extensive knowledge of wild plants and their practical use based on his +20 years of diverse experience. He’ll focus on culinary, not medicinal uses! You’ll learn how to bring wild tastes to your own kitchen.
